HTC 10 launched with 12MP camera, front camera with OIS, great display, battery and improved software
2015 was very hard for HTC as a smartphone giant was pushed backward due to the addition of a faulty version of Snapdragon 810 processor having an overheating issue and also keeping same design of the smartphone over and over again. This year HTC 10 launched by HTC with promising specs, familiar design and some robust specs under the hood.
HTC 10 launched with World’s first front facing OIS camera. has a great camera as told by HTC with same DxOMark camera score than the latest and greatest smartphone in the history of Android, the Galaxy S7 Edge. HTC 10 has a 12 Mega Pixel camera with 12 Million Ultra Pixels and laser auto-focus. HTC 10 features World’s first 5 Mega Pixel front facing Optical Image Stabilization camera.
Display and Processor:
HTC has a 5.2″ Quad HD Super LCD 5 Display with 564 ppi and has curved edge Gorilla Glass. It has Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 Chip which is the latest version of Qualcomm’s chipset.
The battery of HTC 10 looks quite promising, but Quad HD Displays are usually hungry battery smartphones. It has a 3000 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 and extreme power saving mode.
Memory and OS:
It is running on the top of Android Marshmallow 6.0 with HTC sense. It has 4GB RAM. There is an option of expandable storage up to 2 TB with flex storage. There are 32GB and 64GB models of smartphone.
As HTC told that HTC 10 has the best “Boom Sound” they ever made on any smartphone. It has following audio support:
- HTC BoomSound™ Hi-Fi Edition
- Dolby Audio™
- Personal Audio Profile
- Hi-Res audio certified
- Hi-Res audio earphones
- Three microphones with noise cancellation
- Hi-Res stereo audio recording
It also has a Fingerprint scanner on the front. The fingerprint is same as that was on HTC A9 or Samsung devices. Overall the design of the smartphone looks great, but it seems familiar from the back and the front side. The front side design is inherited from HTC A9, and the back design of HTC 10 is inherited from HTC’s older flagship smartphones, like HTC M7, M8, and M9.
HTC 10 has a great software too. They removed a lot of bloatware from the smartphone and made Google Apps as default just like we see in Nexus Smartphones.
